Jason is a lecturer in finance at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Jason’s knowledge of taxes, diversification, and the drivers of stock returns underpin the portfolio recommendations of Hamilton12. His work on valuation has been relied upon by companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (including Rio Tinto, Senex Energy, Collins Foods and PanAust), by the Australian Competition Tribunal, the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales and New South Wales Treasury Corporation.


Jason is the owner of the consulting firm Cardinal Economics & Finance. Jason’s previous experience is as shareholder and director of Frontier Economics, senior lecturer in finance at The University of Queensland Business School and equity research analyst at Credit Suisse.


Jason was a awarded a PhD in finance from UQ in 2005. He graduated from the B.Com (Hons) program in 1996 for which he was awarded the university medal. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2003 and is a board member of the CFA Society Detroit.
