Damian Vassallo has more than 20 years of international experience in security, governance, risk, and compliance, with a recognised track record as a technology leader delivering digital transformation across the mining, oil and gas, petrochemical, and nuclear energy sectors.

 

He was the co-founder of Healthia Limited and a former Non-Executive Director of iOrthotics, where he co-led the merger that resulted in Healthia’s successful ASX listing in 2018. As author of the organisation’s R&D technology strategy and advanced manufacturing roadmap, Damian secured significant federal funding support through the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC) and CRC-P (Round 11), including initiatives focused on innovation in the prevention and treatment of diabetic foot disease.

 

Damian holds an MBA from the University of Queensland Business School, where he received the Director’s Award for Leadership in 2007. In 2022, he was appointed Adjunct Senior Fellow at the UQ School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering, and he currently serves as a Non-Executive Member of the Brisbane Catholic Archdiocesan Services Council.
